Assistant Secretary-General is appointed by a decision of the Executive Office of the Arab Board.

He helps the Secretary-General in his tasks, and replaces him during his absence in addition to his direct supervision of the scientific councils. He coordinates and supervises the scientific committees  as well as follow-up regulations and instructions of the scientific councils’ activities. 

The Assistant Secretary-General is the editorial chief of the Journal of the Arab Board of Health Speciaslizations.
